La Larga comes to a close with the prize-giving ceremony at the RCNP

The Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) held the prize-giving ceremony for La Larga this Tuesday, 29 April, at 19h00. The offshore race marks the official start of the 21st Sandberg PalmaVela and has already established itself as one of the Mediterranean's most prominent offshore regattas.
As in previous years, the winners received one of the exclusive pieces from the PalmaVela trophy collection, which this year features the work by José Smith Zubiaga — a self-taught painter known for his naïve style and bold, expressive use of colour. Rafael Gil, president of the RCNP, presented the ceremony.
After more than 35 hours of racing, the winners were: "Trifork" in IRC, "Azahar" in ORC 0, "Xummer" in ORC 1, "Alegría" in ORC 2-3, "Indigo" in ORC 4-5, "Modul" in ORC A2 0-2, and "Guaguanco IV" in ORC A2 3-4.
