The 2025 GBR IRC Championship season gets under way in early May, with the first events fast approaching.

Kicking things off, the IRC Welsh National Championship runs from 2-4 May in Pwllheli as part of the Celtic Regatta, promising spectacular racing along the stunning Cardigan Bay coast. Simultaneously, the IRC Bristol Channel Championship begins with racing in Portishead (3-4 May), before moving to Cardiff (24-25 May).

Double-handed teams will take on a serious test in the IRC Double Handed National Championship, racing from Cowes in two classic RORC events: the De Guingand Bowl (17 May) and Myth of Malham (24 May).

The month wraps up with the IRC Scottish Championship, hosted by the Clyde Cruising Club at Tarbert, Loch Fyne (23-26 May), offering top-level competition in a dramatic Highland setting.

Looking ahead, the season's centrepiece arrives in June (13-15) with the IRC National Championship, part of the Royal Thames Yacht Club's 250th Anniversary Regatta in Cowes—an unmissable event also marking RORC's 100th year.

Further regional events continue across the UK into late summer and autumn, including championships in Ramsgate, Dartmouth, Jersey, and Windermere, ensuring top-class IRC racing through to the end of the year.

Full details of the 2025 GBR IRC Championships are on the RORC Rating Office website. Stay updated on social media and through the individual event websites for the latest news and results.
