The 2024 Final for the YachtsandYachting.com Racing Series was held on Sunday 30th March in the Eastern Solent. Although more had qualified for the final, only 5 teams chartered Prometheus Sailing's 410 yachts and competed in 3 races, 2 windward/leeward and 1 round the cans, with no discards!

A decent north westerly F3/4 held for most of the day with occasional stronger gusts although for a period in early afternoon the breeze dropped to around 8 knots and looked as if the fleet might struggle downwind against the tide.

Hyde Sails skippered by David Miller emerged as a worthy winner with 3 race wins. The other podium places were fought out between BVI skippered by Bill Taylor and Sunsail Zephyr skippered by Clemens Mieth. The final race of the day saw the two boats neck and neck on a long spinnaker reach towards the mainland shore, with BVI just getting the gun and second place overall.

At the final rounding mark in Race 3, SSW skippered by Kaan Konukcu flying their spinnaker on a close reach were hit by a random gust, and probably caught somewhat unawares the angle of heel must have been quite exciting for the crew onboard.

The 2025 series is currently under way and we have remaining charters available for Rounds 4 (July) and 5 (October).
