Freshwater

King William
Recent rains have significantly raised water levels, flooding new areas. With the lake's abundant fish population, these newly submerged spots are prime for anglers seeking an easy catch.

Woods Lake
The algae bloom has cleared, and the fishing is thriving. Anglers are enjoying success with a variety of methods.

Great Lake
Both boat and shore fishing remain productive. Windy shores are particularly fruitful, attracting fish that are actively feeding on Galaxia and scud.

Arthurs Lake
This lake has started to show promising results, with fish of various sizes and conditions being caught.

Echo Lake
Following the recent rainfall, water levels have risen nicely. Anglers are finding success sight casting with both lures and flies along the edges.

Derwent River
Sea runners are biting well, even in murkier water. Most catches are occurring above the Bridgewater bridge in deeper sections, where fish are in excellent condition, feasting on whitebait.

Crescent and Sorell
Both lakes are producing reasonably well, with healthy fish being reported. Although the water remains discoloured, the quality of the fish makes a visit worthwhile.

For the past few weeks, most rivers have had higher water levels and flow rates that aren't ideal for fishing. However, if the water levels continue to drop, fishing conditions may improve in the coming week.

Saltwater

Bream
These fish are thriving in most east coast lagoons, schooling up to spawn. Vibes and plastics fished deep are proving effective, especially in Browns River, where the recent rain hasn't deterred the bream.

Flathead
Though a bit quieter, dedicated anglers are still managing to secure a good feed with some persistence.

Australian Salmon
There are reports of good-sized salmon being caught around the mouth of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, making it a hot spot for anglers.
