Why
The cold front moving up southern and central waters Saturday will spread north to the Queensland border on Sunday. Winds are forecast to ease during Monday and Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure develops behind this front.
Where
On the Hunter, Sydney, Illawarra, Batemans and Eden coasts on Sunday, conditions will be very rough with seas of 3 to 4 metres plus southerly swell of 5 to 6 metres.
BOM is warning that conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
Swell period
9 to 12 seconds.
