This year's EUROSAF 69F European Championship is part of the 69F Cup 2024. From 17 to 22 September, it will be the final event of a series of four regattas sailed on Lake Garda.

Currently Team Group Atlantic leads the overall standings ahead of Katana Sailing and FIN1 Racing. The European Championship in Malcesine counts towards the annual ranking, but the medals are only awarded on the basis of the regatta ranking.

Youth medals already awarded

The EUROSAF 69F Youth European Championship 2024 was already sailed at Acquafresca Sport Center on Lake Garda in the middle of July. After five days of extremely technical regattas, as they were mainly conditioned by light winds, Jajo Dutchsail Woman was crowned as new European Youth champion of the 69F Class. "The key factor was to have fun: We went here with a brand new team and not so much training, just some minimum preparation. We had some changing at the helm and, at the end, we had a great week by building our strengths, making it simple and keeping the boat flying.", said Willemijn Offerman, skipper of Jajo Dutchsail Woman.

Overall youth podium was completed by Jajo Dutchsail Youth led by Paul Hameeteman, that ended just 5 points away from the winner, and Zachary Blomely's Oceana Vivo.
