Plans are under way for the 2024 Melges 24 European Championship in Split, hosted by the Sailing Club Split from September 27 to October 4. The event is three months away, and these are the last days for the "Early Bird Special" until this Sunday, June 30.

  • The Croatian Melges 24 fleet, which has doubled in size since 2020, attracts many renowned sailors and has gained international recognition for its rapid growth over the last three years.
  • Participants can use the Split CRO M24 Cup, serving as the Pre-Europeans from September 20 to 23, to get acquainted with the racecourse and conditions.
  • Over 50 teams are expected, so the level of competition will be high, promising an exciting and challenging event.
  • Expect thrilling races with varying weather conditions, including the potential for big swells and southern winds.
  • The Southern European flair and warm hospitality of Sailing Club Split provide a welcoming community for all competitors.
  • Additionally, lively festivities ashore will add to the overall excitement, making this an unforgettable week of racing and camaraderie.

Marko Bertolino, President of the Sailing Club Split, is thrilled to welcome the international Melges 24 fleet: "It is a great honor for us to host the Melges 24 fleet. Preparations for these prestigious regattas are well under way, and we are committed to delivering the highest level of organization."

Starting with a Practice Race and Opening Ceremony on Sunday, September 29, five days of racing will follow on Kastela Bay and Split Channel through October 4, with after-sail hospitality events the club is already famous for. In addition to offering world-class sailing opportunities, the Club is also preparing off-water activities for competitors and spectators alike to truly enjoy the City of Split's beauty.
