Celebrating its 140th anniversary this year, Groupe Beneteau unveils its business report for 2023. It's an opportunity for the world leader in yachting to look back on a remarkable year, and to take stock of its environmental and societal commitments.

Through a renewed format, the Groupe Beneteau's 2023 Activity Report offers a deep dive into the successes and highlights of this unprecedented year. In terms of economic performance, the Groupe Beneteau achieved record sales of 1.785 billion euros, consolidating its position as world leader in the sailing segment (monohulls and multihulls) and in the 40- to 60-foot powerboat segment.

The year 2023 was also marked by the achievement of extra-financial performances dear to the company, signs that its proactive and ambitious policy is bearing fruit:

  • 6% reduction in CO2 emissions intensity;
  • Commissioning of the first production line to use fully recyclable Elium® resin;
  • 41% of the Boat Division's purchases are already made from suppliers whose CSR approach has been assessed by Ecovadis (+24% vs. 2022).
  • ISO 14001 certification for 75% of the Boat Division;
  • 24 awards, including 6 for Group innovations in sustainable development;
  • Launch of 10 models with alternative propulsion;
  • Launch of the B-EQUAL program, accelerating gender parity within the company;
  • Signing of the #StOpE initiative (Stop Ordinary Sexism in the Workplace) to reduce sexism in the workplace over the long term.
"The publication of the Groupe Beneteau's Activity Report is an opportunity to celebrate a very rich year 2023 for the entire company, by bringing together all our successes in a medium intended for both internal and external audiences. We owe these achievements to the commitment and quality of work of all Group employees, who work day in, day out with passion and boldness. Together, we will continue to meet the challenges of our sector!" - Calixte de la Martinière, Director of Human Resources and Transformation, Groupe Beneteau.

The 2023 Activity Report is divided into three parts:

  • Innovating to experience sea differently, which outlines the contours of tomorrow's boat and looks back at advances in connectivity to enhance the onboard experience. By 2023, more than 8,000 boats of all brands worldwide will be equipped with the SEANAPPS digital application.
  • Innovating to preserve the oceans, which renews the Group's objective of reducing CO2 emissions by 30% in intensity by 2030, and outlines the Group's progress in limiting its environmental impact.
  • Innovating to involve the collective, which highlights the commitment of the Group's 8,130 employees to meeting the social and environmental challenges facing the marine sector, through initiatives such as the Fresques du Climat, the launch of the B-EQUAL parity gas pedal program, the signing of the STOpE initiative, and so on.
Finally, this activity report, which reaffirms the Group's four strategic priorities - moving upmarket, operational efficiency, sustainable innovation, services and accessibility - is an opportunity to look back at the two major challenges that Groupe Beneteau must continue to meet in 2024 and beyond, namely accessibility and the sustainable development of the yachting sector.
