Wind near the top of A rig range blew down the longest fetch of the country park lake building testing waves. Mike Brand managed the conditions best in race 1 winning from Spencer Pope, then Dave Adams hit the front from Peter Jackson, starting a string of 13 first places in the 21 race event.

The battle for second was tight. Alan Hounsell put in a great performance with five wins to Mike Brands three, but Mike was more consistent, plugging in nine 2nd places against Alan's three.

Alan finished one point ahead in total but Mike got the second overall behind Dave beating Alan by two points after discards. After various problems Peter Jackson managed six podium places for a comfortable fourth from Spencer Pope, newbie Paul Woodward, faster every week and Andrew Nichols.

All the above seven managed podiums in at least one race.
