Entries for the International Paint Poole Regatta 2024 are now open at pooleregatta.co.uk, with early entry discounts available until midnight on the 13th April.

The 2024 regatta takes place from the 25th to 27th May having established a broad fan base as one of the most accessible and welcoming UK regattas. The 2024 regatta will see Poole guest hosting the GBR IRC National Championship, marking a historic milestone in UK yacht racing.

Over 150 yachts in fifteen classes are expected back out on the water to race for the Canford Cup. Dating back to 1849 it is one of the most historic trophies in yacht racing and is now awarded once again bi-annually at Poole following its rediscovery in 2015. The IRC fleet will also be racing for the prestigious GBR National Championship title. The regatta has become renowned for excellent race management with professional and amateur sailors racing alongside each other over five courses in the harbour and out across the bay.

Competitors will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in search of line honours, against the stunning backdrop of the Dorset coastline, providing a unique and unforgettable experience all round. Beyond the racing, participants can look forward to a vibrant social calendar, including a welcoming reception at Poole Quay Yacht Haven on May 24th, daily prize-giving events, and socials at Poole and Parkstone Yacht Clubs. The regatta will culminate in an overall prize-giving ceremony at Parkstone Yacht Club.

Andrew Pearce, Regatta President said, "The International Paint Poole Regatta has solidified its reputation as one of the UK's premier yacht racing events. We are honoured to host the GBR IRC National Championship, extending the event's reach beyond the Solent for the first time in 2024. Our dedicated committee, comprised of volunteers from all of Poole's esteemed yacht clubs, has worked tirelessly to organize what promises to be an exceptional regatta, and I extend my gratitude to everyone involved for their hard work."
