After providing a banging start to the 2023 season, the Freestyle Pro Tour season opener is back in Cape Town for 2024!
An on forecast event, from the 5th to the 15th of February, will see the crowning of the first official FreestyleWave champion in this 5* Men's and Women's event. The single elimination will take place at the Milnerton Aquatic Club, whereas the double elimination will be held in the waves at Doodles. The event will also be home to the official 2023 FPT Awards Show, taking place on the 4th of February simultaneous to the event's registration evening. The 2023 premiere edition of the event saw some of the most radical action ever witnessed, with a mix of both Freestylers and Wave sailors entering. Marc Pare (Duotone Windsurfing) won the event, surprising everyone with his Freestyle moves on the lake, to then continue on into the waves and dominate with his insane Double Air moves. The day of the event saw some of the strongest winds of that season in Cape Town, something that the FPT hopes to repeat for 2024 thanks to the 10 day waiting period.

2023 FPT Awards
Registration for the 2024 FPT Cape Town will take place on the night of the 4th of February. Combined with that, the 2023 FPT Awards Show will be held at the Milnerton Aquatic Club, where the best action from this year will be celebrated just before the new season kicks off.
