New outboard Invictus TT420S ready for its world debut at boot Dusseldorf 2024

by Invictus Yacht 13 Dec 2023 03:26 PST 20-28 January 2024

The new outboard version of the Invictus Yacht model, named TT420S, is making its debut at boot Düsseldorf, where it premiered last year and quickly gained great success.

  • The new outboard version of the TT420S is ready for its debut at the German boat show
  • Christian Grande's signature elegance combines with unusual solutions in this boat segment, such as the presence of a garage for the tender
  • The first Invictus TT420S will be in the exclusive Vogue White colour

Instead of the inboard-outboard propulsion with two Volvo Penta D6 engines with 440 HP each, the Italian brand has opted for a configuration with triple Yamaha outboard engines, each with 350 HP, totalling over 1000 HP. This configuration is made possible by eliminating the central section of the swim platform.

The space previously occupied by the inboard-outboard engines has been converted into a practical storage area for toys. However, a rare feature for this boat category remains unchanged, the actual garage capable of accommodating a 2.10-meter tender.

The taut essential lines of this 42-footer, designed by Christian Grande, are distinctive of Invictus hulls, combining style and attention to performance. The profile of Invictus TT420S, incorporating the stylistic features of its older sister TT460 (winner of the Design Innovation Award in 2020), is characterised by the elegant features of the windshield, which blend seamlessly into the carbon hardtop and further streamline the powerful mass of this model. The integral glass windshield with wipers, in particular, represents an unusual solution on this size of boat and protects during navigation. At the same time, a front opening system ensures effective air circulation when at anchor.

The deck, characterised along its entire length by a comfortable perimeter walkway protected by high bulwarks, has a large bow sundeck that can be converted into a chaise longue, transforming it into a romantic and enchanting corner - ideal for comfortably enjoying the cruise or sipping a quiet aperitif. Amidships, thanks to the folding tables, the spacious dinette can be converted into a large space for relaxation, sheltered by the hard top. At the same height, the sides can be equipped, optionally, with two collapsible side terraces, which increase the living space on board, but, above all, offer a perception of openness towards the outside that is best appreciated during lunch and when relaxing: a solution that breaks down the barrier dividing the boat from the surrounding environment.

Internally, Christian Grande has opted for an open space solution. Upon entering, the spacious living area is on full display, with U-shaped rotating sofas, which can surprisingly transform into a comfortable double bed. Aft is a cabin with separate beds. The generous bulwarks have made it possible to obtain remarkable internal heights, which have been used for a large bathroom with separate shower.

The Invictus TT420S, which will make its world debut in Düsseldorf, will feature the exclusive Vogue White colour, capable of representing an idea of simplicity that is only apparent. Indeed, it is an unprecedented shade of neutral white, distinguishable among other whites. The boldness of the shipyard lies in the effort to find a different white that harmonizes well with the warm and cool tones of the available cushioning in the collection. This creates a stage capable of enhancing the details and colours on board, distinctive elements of Invictus.
