Why we do what we do: The Sportfishing Conservancy holds a series of fishing contests each year, designed to raise money and awareness for coastal habitat enhancement and recreational support.
Our donations help the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County in their mission of restoration and enhancement in the Carp Salt Marsh, a nursery for coastal species. Our Conservancies' Classic supports the Gaviota Coast Conservancy (GCC), particularly their commitment to recreational access to our coastal resources. This year we helped raise more than a thousand dollars in direct support for these coastal habitat centric organizations. Very little mystery and very little drama, just hard work improving coastal habitat and coastal fishing!
