Solbian, a leading innovator in flexible solar panels, is pleased to announce that they have named Maxeon Solar Technologies, a global leader in solar innovation, as the cell supplier for their new SunBender Solar Kit.

The new offering from Solbian will be made using high-efficiency Maxeon Gen 3 solar cells, which have been designed to perform at the highest level in extreme environments.

This innovative solution combines Solbian's experience in photovoltaic module design and the cutting-edge technology of Maxeon's Interdigitated Back-Contact (IBC) solar cells. The SunBender kit will be available in three versions based on the panel's power output and it will include a charge controller and a complete set of cables for installation.

Thanks to Solbian's many years of experience in producing solar systems for use in professional offshore racing yachts, SunBender modules are designed to withstand the most extreme weather, ensuring long-term reliability and performance. Other applications of Solbian modules range from uses on National Health Service ambulances in the UK, on expedition trucks in Africa, on shelters in alpine areas, through being used on the wings of solar-powered airplanes.

Key features of the SunBender Solar Kit

High-quality solar panels: Three different module types make up the SunBender kit: starting with the smallest 52Wp model, moving up to the medium 108Wp model to the most powerful 164Wp model. Each of them embeds high-efficiency, high-durability, lightweight Maxeon Gen 3 solar cells. With minimal energy loss, these advanced solar cells are crucial to Solbian's SunBender Solar Kit.

Built from 35 years of boundary-pushing solar DNA, Maxeon Solar Technologies is a leader in solar innovation with over 1,600 patents. Maxeon Solar cells are designed to be better, with higher efficiency and reliability than other solar cells, and unmatched shading performance in real world conditions. To date, Maxeon has over 3.5 billion cells in use in even the harshest of conditions.

Genasun charge controller: The kit includes an advanced Genasun charge controller that boasts cutting-edge features for superior energy management. This regulator is equipped with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to reach a conversion efficiency greater than 99%. Not all MPPTs are the same, Genasun technology tracks the MPP 15 times per second to capture each single Watt from the panel. These controllers are also pre-programmed for the type of battery (Pb or Li) the kit is intended for and are ready for use without the need for programming or settings to be configured. Genasun are the lighter, smaller, and most efficient solar charge controllers in the market.

Seamless installation: SunBender includes all essential cables and connectors, making the installation process straightforward and hassle-free. Even individuals new to solar technology will find it easy to set up and use.

Innovation in action: The SunBender kit represents Solbian's response to a dynamic market. The combined expertise of the companies involved here results in a state-of-the-art, highly versatile solution capable of meeting an ever-expanding audience.

Commitment to sustainability: Maxeon and Solbian both share a strong commitment to sustainability. This kit aims to simplify the road to a healthier planet by enabling users to tap into a clean, renewable energy source quickly and easily.

"We are excited about our partnership with Maxeon and the launch of this new product" said Luca Bonci, CEO of Solbian. "The SunBender Solar Kit offers a reliable, efficient, and sustainable solution for energy generation. Users can select the model that aligns with their energy generation goals and space availability, ensuring that the kit meets their unique needs, whether it's for an RV, a boat, or an off-grid adventure."

Mark Babcock, Chief Revenue Officer at Maxeon Solar Technologies said, "We're pleased that our advanced IBC solar cell technology has been selected by Solbian to bring their new solar product to the market. At Maxeon, we are proud to provide the highest quality and most efficient solar technology that also provides superior performance for the long-term in a range of challenging conditions and environments."

SunBender will be available for purchase in the upcoming weeks.
