Mühlenberger Segel-Club wins J/70 DSL Pokal Cup

Great cheers erupted on the Alster Lake in Hamburg, Germany when the Mühlenberger Segel-Club team with helmsman Jacob Ahlers, tactician Till Krüger, trimmer Ole von Studnitz, and Helene Ropohl on the sheets sailed across the finish line after the last flight.

With first place in the decisive race, in which the strong competitors from the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein team came in third place, the duel for the League Sailors' Cup was over and the MSC team was able to celebrate the first major title in the club's history.

"Winning the cup is a very important title for the MSC and the reward for many years of development work in the youth sector and in the J/70 team," says Ole von Studnitz from the MSC squad and chairman of the Liga e.V. "This title gives us a big one A boost for the coming season. With third place in the Bundesliga, we made it to the SAILING Champions League and now the cup - things couldn't have gone better for us this year.
