CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF SAIL

The organisers of what is probably the biggest sailing event on the East Coast, Mersea Week, have announced the dates for their 50th Anniversary: Sunday 18th - Friday 23rd August 2024.

This event attracts scores of competitors, and it is anticipated that this year, the 50th Anniversary of this popular event there will be even more.

With a full and varied racing programme and a busy social scene, Mersea Week is all about racing on the beautiful Blackwater and enjoying fabulous social events ashore.

In addition to the many events planned for this 50th event, there will be free moorings for our competitors and daily award ceremonies to celebrate the sailing.

Saturday 17th there will be a welcome party and on Saturday 24th August the 'Town Regatta' takes place which will conclude with a magnificent firework display.

Get ahead of the game - early bird entries will be possible from the 1st January, and keep an eye on www.merseweek.org because we really intend to push the boat out in 2024!
