The Viking fleet of sportfishing yachts dominates the industry in every size category. Last week, we featured our 72 Convertible, and now we focus on the Viking 68 - specifically the recently delivered Twin Reels.

She's a beauty, with a Whisper Grey gelcoat and faux teak transom and toe rail. But this four-stateroom bluewater runner is also battle-ready, with a custom Palm Beach Towers hardtop and tuna tower, a Release Marine Trillion Series fighting chair (anchored in the 176-square-foot teak cockpit) and the latest in fishfinding technology, including omnidirectional sonar. The flybridge overhang shades the mezzanine, which features optional air conditioning for added comfort.

Twin Reels is also equipped with a custom navigation, communication and entertainment package from Atlantic Marine Electronics. The flybridge's center console holds a trio of 17-inch Multi-Function Displays, while the hardtop is home to a drop-down electronics box as well as electric teaser reels. The clean, streamlined flybridge layout includes three optional Release Marine Trillion Series helm chairs, bench seating to port and starboard and a forward console two-person seat. The forward top-loading freezer on centerline stores an abundance of bait.

Welcome to the salon, a blueprint of intelligent interior design that perfectly balances form and function with a combination of luxury, comfort, conveniences and ample storage.

The galley really showcases the attractive and meticulously finished horizontal grain walnut joinery and detailed Amtico flooring. Twin Reels features an optional peninsular-style galley that holds Sub-Zero pull-out refrigerator and freezer units and a wine cooler.

The midship owner's suite takes full advantage of the yacht's 19' 2" beam, with a queen walkaround bed, a pair of hanging lockers and night stands, a credenza, ample drawer storage and a large ensuite head.

The crew quarters are discretely located - accessed via a separate set of steps off the companionway - and provide direct access to the engineroom.

Optional twin MTU Series 12V 2000 M96X (2002MHP) engines provide the power for Twin Reels. In the immaculate Snow White engineroom, you have 6' 6" of headroom and excellent access to the powerplants, systems and components.
