GCMarine wins top Exporter and Project of the Year at ASMEX Awards 2023 on the Gold Coast

by GCMarine 25 May 2023 17:31 AEST 24 May 2023

Some big news for local marina manufacturing business GCMarine at last night's Australian Superyacht & Marine Export Awards held at the Intercontinental Resort, Sanctuary Cove. Being a finalist in three categories GCMarine took out the win in two of them, being awarded "Commercial Category - Commercial Project/Design or Manufacturer of the Year" and "Export Category - Exporter of the Year".

GCMarine's General Manager Mr Brad Allen said on accepting the Manufacturer of the Year Award "This award is testament to the hard work and dedication of all our team members, from the boilermakers and installers, the barge operators, drafting and design team, every single one of the team. A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes to deliver these world class projects and it's fantastic be recognised by our industry as a key market leader in major marine infrastructure projects".

Adding to that award, GCMarine's Managing Director Matt Browning was on hand to accept the Exporter of the Year Award, resulting for their involvement in the recently completed Nawi Island Marina project in Fiji. With a total of 71, 40-foot containers leaving the Gold Coast for Fiji during the course of the project, the GCMarine team were able to deliver a world class, 137 berth marina catering for Superyachts up to 85 metres. Mr Browning added "Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be standing here in front of my industry peers accepting such an award. But on doing so, it really is a team effort and we really do have the best team in the world. With the support of Gold Coast City Council, Austrade, AIMEX and Superyachts Australia, it wouldn't be possible for us to go international".

GCMarine is a vibrant and dynamic Gold Coast based marine manufacturing business servicing the residential pontoon market here in Australia, as well as delivering multimillion dollar marine berthing infrastructure projects both here and internationally.
