Dangerous fishing conditions update © RFA of NSW
Why
A slow moving ridge of high pressure over the north of the state is bringing a southwesterly airstream, and a cold front is moving across the southeast Sunday.
Fresh and gusty westerly winds ahead of the front will shift to strong to gale force south to southwest behind the front. Large and powerful surf conditions will continue Sunday and Monday.
Where
On Sunday and Monday on the Hunter, Sydney and Illawarra coasts seas will be 3 metres plus swell of 5 to 6 metres. Swells will be mostly from the SW on Sunday but shifting to southerly on Monday.
Warning
On all those coasts on those days, BOM is warning that conditions will be dangerous for rock fishing and crossing bars.
