As "fish boats" continue to replace traditional runabouts as boat "SUVs" on the water, Sailfish Boats advances this trend with the introduction of the new 226 Dual Console (DC).

Ideal for first-time boaters, experienced boaters, or those replacing their bowrider with today's new style runabout, the 226 has everything you need and more in a 22-foot package - storage, seating, lounging, and the space to fish.

The 226 makes an incredible impression from the very first glance. With a striking stance, tall freeboard, and shapely transom hips, along with its majestic, timeless sheer line and gentle bow flare, this boat presents a position of confidence and class-leading style. After you register the 226's exterior prowess and beauty, the interior continues to impress. Find yourself having that inspired "ahhh" moment as you realize you will be getting everything you needed, wanted, and joyfully unexpected with the 226 DC.

The interior welcomes and surrounds its guests with feelings of ease, comfort and space. Could it be the one-of-a-kind port side lounger that provides fore and aft seating, and converts to a full lay down sunbed? Or is it the aft fold away seat with bilge garage trunk access? Or perhaps it's the captain's seat at the helm that welcomes you in?

Doubtless, the cockpit freeboard provides an invaluable sense of safety and security inside your boat. The bow of the 226 invites you to relax, unwind, enjoy the sights, with insulated storage below and the room to set-up an optional bow table for drinks, snacks, and playing a game of cards.

Protected by the wraparound windshield, the captain is in absolute control, with everything needed right at hand. Take your fishing and family adventures to the next level and add the optional 7" Garmin GPS chartplotter. Just to the left of the console, you will find access to a private head with standard porta potty.

The 226 easily supports new style runabout" boating adventures. It comes with family-friendly, family-fun inspired features. These include a Baja Sand Bar Cooler in the transom swim platform and a Baja Storage Trunk in the transom. There is also an abundance of storage space below all seats, numerous cup holders, and USB ports. Additionally, it has a standard transom pressurized freshwater shower. You can even include the optional ski tow pylon to pull tubers or skiers.

The 226 does not fall short honoring its fishing heritage, either. Whether it is the 21-gallon live well, numerous rod holders, insulted bow fish boxes (that double as a cooler when not fishing) or its hull design and construction foundation, the 226 is ready for you to deliver.

Like all Sailfish models, it starts with the hull. The 226 DC sits on the 6th-generation Variable Degree Stepped (VDS) hull. This three-hulls-in-one platform provides the perfect balance of stability and performance, whether at rest or slogging through chop. The deepest of the three "steps" has a steep 24-degree entry-point angle designed to peel open the water aggressively, providing a uniquely effortless ride experience on deck. The second surface is positioned at a slightly shallower angle of 23 degrees, enabling air to flow efficiently under the hull.

This aeration ensures less friction and delivers improved fuel economy. Finally, the third and outermost stepped surface is positioned at a flatter 22 degrees, enhancing stability at rest. In practical terms, this means riders will feel less rocking in big rollers, and won't get tired sea legs after long battles with prize fish. The performance and ride of the 226 is powered by a single Mercury, Yamaha or Suzuki 150 or 200 HP engine delivering ample performance and safety without breaking the bank.

Enhancing the impressive ride characteristics of VDS is Sailfish's Sailtech construction process. Sailtech represents the synergy of a strong building philosophy with unbeatable construction materials.

Sailtech provides built-in quality, strength, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your boat can withstand whatever rigors you endure while landing your next catch, or enjoying a calm, quiet day on the water with family. Sailtech uses materials such as Kevlar, carbon fiber, quad axial fiberglass mat, and Trevira to ensure the lightweight strength, promised quality and lasting durability boaters need.
