A high passing to the south Tuesday and Wednesday will extend a ridge along the coast, with winds gradually shifting northeast to southeasterly. The pattern is then likely to remain relatively unchanged until another trough and southerly change expected on the weekend.
BOM has issued a warning for Wednesday for the Byron, Coffs and Macquarie coasts of seas of 1.5 m and SE swell of 2 m, then on Thursday seas of 1 m and SE swells of 1.5 to 2 m.
Even though these sea and swell heights look fairly low, BOM is warning that on those coasts on those days conditions will be dangerous for rock fishing and crossing bars.
