After four action-filled days in the French Riviera, the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show has successfully come to a close. The pinnacle event in the superyacht calendar took place this year from September 28th to October 1st, with more than 115 yachts at Show and 30,000 visitors in attendance.

For Camper & Nicholsons, figures show that the latest edition of the show was a clear success - the brokerage house saw an increase of 193.9% in visitors boarding the yachts on display, compared to 2021.

Altogether, 146 yachts from the fleet visited Monaco during the show. Of these, 119 yachts were stationed at the Port Hercules showgrounds with the remaining 25 yachts at anchor. The average asking price per yacht has been calculated at €20,466,486, which combined makes up a total asking price of €4,052,364,256 of all yachts on display.

Some of the largest Camper & Nicholson yachts at the show included 91.5 metre TRANQUILITY, 80 metre ELEMENTS, 65.2 metre CALLISTO and 54.6 metre C. Also in attendance were some of the most iconic sailing yachts from the fleet, including Royal Huisman modern classic BORKUMRIFF IV, the red-hulled Perini Navi BLUSH and Wally's regatta-winning ALEXIA.

"Honestly, it was a very good show," commented Paolo Casani, CEO at Camper & Nicholsons. "There was a clear increase in the number of companies attending, and a great display of yachts."

"Despite the fact that some clients from Russia, Ukraine and Asia could not attend the show, we saw more Middle Eastern and American clients which is interesting for the business," noted Casani.

The yacht show also provided an opportunity for Camper & Nicholsons to announce a number of exciting updates for the company at a press conference held on September 29th.

To mark an impressive 240 years in the business, Camper & Nicholsons announced the release of a special anniversary book commemorating the company's longstanding history. The book will be available later this month in a limited edition run of just 1,000 copies, distributed to Camper & Nicholsons' yacht owners, clients, and partners.

The press conference also confirmed the opening of a new office in Dubai. Located in Mina Rashid marina, the new branch will "continue the expansion of Camper & Nicholsons in one of the most important hubs of the yachting industry," explained Casani, detailing that "the offering of all our services from brokerage and insurance to project, charter and crew management will give us an excellent opportunity to be closer to our international clients and local superyacht owners."

The Monaco Yacht Show conference additionally provided Camper & Nicholsons with an opportunity to shine a spotlight on their newly-launched website, as part of the company's technology and data-driven project to enhance the client experience. The refresh of Camper & Nicholsons' online presence is led by the in-house digital and tech hub jointly with the marketing department. The tech team has also worked to create the company's statistical yachting database providing information on more than 16,000 yachts currently afloat as well as effective software programs for yacht, charter and crew management.

"Camper & Nicholsons was founded in 1782 and pioneered the industry since," commented Giovanni Alessi Anghini, Camper & Nicholson's Chief Innovation & Technology. "Today we are not only envisioning the future, but we are executing it!"

Camper & Nicholsons will return to the Monaco Yacht Show next year, taking place from September 27th to 30th, 2023.
