Yellowfin undamaged by Hurricane Ian

Yellowfin's Sarasota, Florida headquarters survived Hurricane Ian relatively unscathed, sustaining only minor roof damage to one plant building. All of the boats currently being built were safely secured inside the various buildings, and none suffered any damage whatsoever.

We are extremely grateful that our facility made it through ok, but we're also keenly aware that many parts of our home state did not fare as well. Our most sincere thoughts and best wishes go out to all of our friends, customers and employees who are dealing with some level of loss brought about by this devastating storm in their own lives. We wish everyone the best, and look forward to happier days ahead!

Ocean Legacy returns this Sunday

Season three of Ocean Legacy resumes this Sunday, October 9th, as we travel to Crystal River, Florida to sample some of the epic bottom fishing found in the Gulf of Mexico. Will Petenbrink, owner of an awesome Yellowfin 39 Offshore named Saltine, and Captain Jacob Hartman led us to some great catches and lots of good times offshore of this incredibly scenic area.

We based our adventure out of the Plantation on Crystal River, a beautiful full service resort, which epitomizes the style and charm of old Florida so prevalent in this part of the world. It's all coming up this Sunday at 8:30 am Eastern, on The Discovery Channel. Please make plans to join us! Here are some photos from the episode, and a short video as well.

South Carolina Fall Classic kicks off

The South Carolina Fall Classic king mackerel tournament had its captains meeting recently at our Georgetown, South Carolina dealer, Tailwalker Marine. Yellowfin is proud to sponsor the Classic, which runs through October 23rd.

Teams get to pick two days to fish and can weigh two fish per day, although a three-fish aggregate will win the event. Over 100 boats registered again this year and we wish everyone great fishing! Here are some photos from the captain's meeting.
