2023 Qoin Sail Paradise Regatta set to be "bigger and better than ever"

by Southport Yacht Club 5 May 2022 11:49 HKT 2-6 January 2022

Following the success of the most recent Qoin Sail Paradise Regatta, coupled with positive feedback from competitors, sponsors and all involved, Southport Yacht Club, on Queensland's Gold Coast, has announced that Qoin Sail Paradise 2023 will be "bigger and better than ever" come January 2, 2023. At the same time Qoin Sail Paradise will headline another Regatta, the "Summer of Sailing Series", an event that will be open to all.

"Sailing is booming at our club," said Southport Yacht Club's Vice-Commodore of Sailing, Drew Jones, "Our sailing fleet can now claim everything, from Two Olympic Gold Medals to Junior Championships plus a number of successes in Offshore Racing. In short, we just about cover the full spectrum of the sport".

Qoin Sail Paradise 2023 will be held on Monday, January 2 through to Friday January 6, 2023. The regatta schedule will include 'Lay Day Experiences', so crews, their families and friends can enjoy a variety of the Gold Coast's stunning destinations and attractions.

With plans for Qoin Sail Paradise progressing so impressively, Southport Yacht Club's General Manager, Brett James, delivered good news for everyone involved:

"Our sponsors... Major Events Gold Coast, Aramex, Short Marine, Club Marine and Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast will once again proudly support Qoin Sail Paradise. All Sponsors received record exposure from last year's event, and it was no surprise that all sponsors re-signed immediately after the event. Last year did see many new activities added to the event and in 2023 it will be no different."

Qoin's National Sponsorship Executive, Melanie Anthony, said: "We are delighted to be an integral part of Qoin Sail Paradise again in 2023. The exposure that Qoin receives during this event has exceeded our expectations and there was no hesitation to re-sign, we see the extended format as a major boost to our brand. It's a fantastic opportunity for visitors and locals to experience a premier sailing event, from the shoreline and to enjoy the fantastic Southport Yacht Club facilities".
