Registration for this summer's 13th annual Yellowfin Owner's Tournament is now open! The event takes place June 23-26, once again at the beautiful Hawks Cay Resort and Marina on Duck Key in the Florida Keys.

As always, we've negotiated a great Yellowfin group room rate, which is good for the entire week, June 19-26 at Hawks Cay, for those who might want to make a family vacation out of the trip and spend the whole week. But before you register, here are some important things you need to keep in mind.

  • All guests are strongly encouraged to register with the resort in the Yellowfin room block in order to attend the event.
  • Reservations must be made online for both the tournament AND the hotel.
  • Yellowfin owners and their immediate family members, and all children 18 and younger are free. Any friends or non-immediate adult family members attending as guests must pay a $325 per-person registration fee.
  • Only Yellowfins 36 feet long and larger can stay in the main marina. Boats smaller than 36 feet must tie up in the canals behind the main hotel.

Everything you need to know can be found on the yellowfinowners.com. We look forward to seeing everyone back at Hawks Cay this summer!

Big wahoos in this year's Northeast Florida Wahoo Shootout

2022 is proving to be an excellent year for catching big wahoo off northeast Florida. In the Northeast Florida Wahoo Shootout, the world's largest wahoo tournament, they've already seen one fish over 100, weighing in at 108.66 pounds, three more in the 90's, and dozens in the '80s and '70s. Those are huge wahoo no matter where you fish! Keep up with all the action, which runs through March 27th, by visiting the Shootout Facebook page.
