Cyclops Marine have made quite an impact since being founded in 2018. Supplying wireless load sensors to INEOS TEAM UK, multiple Olympic and IMOCA Teams, through to a great number of regular weekend sailors, they changed the game by bringing load sensing to a general audience for the first time with the launch of their flagship 'smart' range through 2020 & 2021.

Starting 2022 off on the right foot, they have appointed two fresh-faced, high-level sailors who are also top graduates and experts in their industry fields to new roles within the team:

With a burning passion for sailing, Ben developed his knowledge and skills through years of competing and coaching at a world class level. Picking up his first national title aged 14, he has gone onto multiple international top 10s in the 470 class, a class win at the Rolex Fastnet and score podiums in IRC, P40 and One Design fleets.

Ben graduated with a first-class honours degree in Business Management, and has experience in technical account management, working closely with OEM and aftermarket accounts in both cruising and performance sectors. His journey in the industry so far has taken him via Seldén Mast and Harken inc, now with Cyclops, he's enjoying connecting with new customers and bringing all of his knowledge to a new sphere.

CEO of Cyclops Marine, Ian 'Chips' Howarth:
