Christian Grande unveils Sacs Rebel 55 - Comfort and performance for the ultimate in conviviality

by Christian Grande 7 Dec 2021 07:20 PST

After the debut at the latest edition of Cannes Yachting Festival, the Sacs Rebel 55 is preparing for its presentation at Boot Dusseldorf 2022 in a version with foldable bulwarks.

The Rebel 55 represents the culmination of Christian Grande's stylistic expression to enhance the soul of the Rebel range by Sacs: the soul of a RIB in which comfort and performance are the perfect outline of a markedly convivial vocation, in which the desire to be together is seasoned with dynamism and energy. After the successful launch at the latest Cannes Yachting Festival, everything is ready for the World debut of a new version with foldable bulwarks, planned for the next Boot in Düsseldorf (22-30 January 2022).

The Rebel soul appears at a first glance: when it is cruising, it leaves no room for misunderstandings; its nature is sporty and its lines are truly original.

"Despite the generous volumes, the sporty character of the Rebel 55 is clearly expressed thanks to details such as the snorkel air intakes, the hard top suspended like a large wing on the cockpit and the powerful 'T-foam' profiles, which divide the area of the Rebel 55 in a balanced way," explains Christian Grande. "The profile of the deckhouse gains momentum as it plunges behind the lines of the toe rails, which rise towards the bow in the middle of the boat, protecting the gangways; here, large glass shapes offer the thrill of enjoying the view of the water surface while still being completely safe, a feeling that families as well will certainly appreciate."

The convivial vocation of the Rebel 55 emerges by observing the spaces on board, both internal and external, where Christian Grande's design and the layout are able create a "warm atmosphere" on board, offering refined, welcoming and comfortable settings.

The deck is characterised, in the centre of the cockpit, by a galley of unique dimensions for this type of boat; towards the stern, the space available continues with two opposing sofas, to create a living area which can be converted into dinner area, and finally a large sundeck.

The large bow spaces can be reached thanks to the walkarounds and are divided into a comfortable seafront sofa and a second, generously sized sundeck.

"The width of the Rebel 55 has made it possible to obtain a steering position plus three co-pilots in the console; the same width which, below deck, leaves room for two cabins with separate bathroom and shower, as well as a comfortable and modern living area," continues Christian Grande.

The Rebel 55 set-up was conceived according to contemporary taste, which balances classic and modern elements through exquisitely elegant material references.

Three exclusive editions express this spirit with different sensations: the delicate shades of Daiquiri Touch, the balanced contrasts of Spicy Honey and the nocturnal atmospheres of Velvet Mist.

Attention to detail is evident when observing the vertical surfaces with their succession of wood types, metal paints and fabric upholstery, creating perfect contrasts.

The Sacs Rebel 55 comes in an inboard version, equipped with two 725 hp Volvo Penta IPS 950 engines, but also includes a powerful outboard version, equipped with 4x600 hp Mercury engines, faster and more versatile than ever.
