Our community has been abuzz with excitement about the upcoming Festival, now just three weeks away. Volunteers are signing up; boaters, presenters, and vendors are preparing for their weekend at Point Hudson; the Festival program just went to print—it's been busy because yes, we're going to have a festival—and it will have a requirement for vaccinations.

The Wooden Boat Festival has always been about celebrating the best parts of our community, our sense of volunteerism, our passionate and joyous spirit, and of course our community's proud tradition of craft and wooden boats. We want it to continue to mean those things for our local community, volunteers, participants, and attendees—we want you all to feel as safe as possible when you attend the Wooden Boat Festival.

We are continuing to follow the recommendations of Jefferson County Public Health regarding outdoor events which they continue to confirm are a safe way to gather. As a reminder, all Festival activities will be held outside this year, and all attendees are strongly encouraged to mask up.

Additionally, proof of Covid vaccination will be required for all 2021 Wooden Boat Festival participants, volunteers, staff, and attendees 12 and over. Those 12 and over who are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons will be required to show proof of a negative Covid test. All attendees ages 2-11 are required to wear a mask at all times.

If you have already purchased your tickets or have paid to participate in the Festival, and are now unable to attend due to these protocols, we will refund your order or credit it as a donation to support our mission and programs. If you do want a refund, please contact by August 27, 2021.

Wooden Boat Festival would not be possible without your help and cooperation through all of this. Thank you for helping keep our communities safe, and we can't wait to see you!
