Prada Cup: Day 10 Preview - Course A - Finals Day 4 - can the Brits stay in the Cup?

For Day 10 of the Prada Cup, and the forth day of Prada Cup Finals, the course will be located on the Course A area, starting off Takapuna/Milford and extending north - depending on the breeze direction
In the Prada Media Centre the forecast is for NNE winds of 9-14kts with high tide at 3.15pm and a tidal strength of 1-1.5kts, according to today's briefing by Regatta Director Iain Murray.
The Predictwind forecast for the morning breeze to be an easterly of 3-7kts swinging to the north before 1.00pm and staying at the same strength. In the afternoon from 1.00pm to 5.00pm the breeze from the NE increases from 6-10kts. For Race 2 Predictwind is especting a northerly breeze of 8-11kts. Temperatures will be in the low 20's with calm seas and bright sunshine.
It is possible that the lower limit of 6,5kts on a rolling boxcar average, taken over a 30second period between the ninth and fourth minute before the start of racing. The boats enter the start box two minutes before the start.
INEOS Team UK had their first win of the Prada Cup Finals in Race 6 yesterday, after leading back to the start, gaining a small lead and turning it into a bigger one, which they could defend against the Italian attack. The Brits average speed was over a 1kt faster than the Italians, and three more tacks/gybes and the distance sailed by the two boats was near identical. That confirms that if the Brits can keep their error rate down while sailing aggressively, they are in with more than a chance.
If the Brits lose both races today they are headed for the Boulevard of Broken [America's Cup] Dreams, or if they win one they stay alive to sail on Monday. If they can win two they will be on an America's Cup comeback - and it will be the Italians who are in trouble at 4-3.
The Brits lodged a Complaint of Non Compliance over a measurement issue against the Italians, claiming they weren't tacking the jib (self tackers are prohibited) and also that one of the new crew cowls installed on Luna Rossa covered more than was permitted by the Class rule. The Measurement Committee asked by teams to install on board cameras so they could view the sheeting action on the jib. The Brits responded - saying they would comply. The Italians needed more time to consider the request by the Measurement Committee as cameras in the required position are not part of hte media requirements for the regatta.
We may not have seen the last of this one, if racing continues beyond today.
The best place to view the racing will be from Kennedy Point between Castor Bay and Campbells Bay, however you will need a good pair of binoculars. Today's course - is expected to be on the old America's Cup courses used in 2000 and 2003.
With the race courses being held away from the best viewing for shore-based spectators, there are two ways of viewing the action, other than just sitting in front of a TV or computer/phone screen

How to follow the racing:
From my Spy Guide (covering all vantage points which I have been using to follow the AC75's since September 2019) you can gauge the best sites for viewing from shore - binoculars are recommended but not necessary:
Course A: Takapuna Beach/Boating Club, or any of the beaches north to Campbells Bay. Kennedy Park just after you exit Castor Bay and before Campbells Bay offers a good cliff top view. At Kennedy Park walk back along the clifftop towards Castor Bay until the cliff foliage clears and you should get a panoramic view of the race.
Devonport Wharf - easy parking but no real views past North Head: Course C
Torpedo Wharf - good parking, good views and a shed to shelter in - but you can't see up the Rangitoto Channel - Course C
North Head - lower is better - Course C
Takapuna Grammar - Course B and C
Eastern Beach - just look on Google maps - Course E
Musick Point - look on the street views of Google maps there is a road through the Golf Course - with a car park at the top, park there and walk through to your right, there is a clearing there opening right up onto Tamaki Strait and Waiheke. Should take 40 minutes in light fast traffic. - Course E

Courses A, B and C will provide great viewing for people on North Shore.
Course A - good viewing to be had from Milford and Takapuna beaches.
Course B - Cheltenham Beach, Narrow Neck Beach, Maungauika North Head
Course C - Maungauika North Head, Bastion Point, Tamaki Yacht Club and Mission Bay
Course D - Southeastern beaches will be the place to watch, with locations including Achilles Point and Glover Park
Course E - Action on this course is within sight of Maraetai and Musick Point.
Getting around during the 36th America's Cup
It will be busy, so plan ahead get there early and allow plenty of time for travel. The 36th America's Cup Village, located at the start of Hobson Wharf will be open on Race days - 9am-11pm; Non race days -10am-10pm Public holidays - 10am-9pm.

6 days of PRADA Cup live
10 days are same day delay
1 day is next day delayed
The first two days of the Match will be live
The next two days will be same day delay - delayed by an hour for scheduling reasons
The final three days are TBD
Generally, the delayed broadcasts are because of wider scheduling issues with other sports events.
NBC Sports carries the ACTV 'World Feed' and the schedule gets stronger as the competition progresses- including Friday night 9pm Live on NBC Sports on both of the next two weekends.
With regard to NBC Gold (paid extra)- every race is live (World Feed) as well as multi feeds.

With regard to YouTube in the US:
All highlights are available as soon as produced and posted each day.
However the full live racing is delayed by 48 hours.
Basically Live racing and highlights coverage is available on americascup.com in all markets where YouTube operates, except for those covered by the NBC arrangement outlined above. And I am purposely not going into detail on broadcast territories because every other territory the digital streaming rights are separated and available to all LIVE no matter what broadcaster is showing it.
Press Conferences: Live streamed on YouTube without restriction anywhere. These start about an hour after the completion of racing.
