Sailing for all during a frozen winter season in Lignano Sabbiadoro

by Tiliaventum 19 Feb 2021 02:37 PST

Sea4All in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy): the last frozen Sunday, February the 14th was another memorable sail-for-all day on board on Càpita, the accessible daysailer... unique in the world.

The Sea4All project continues in this 2021 taking advantage of the beautiful and sunny Sunday, after days of intense and frosty "bora" that gave the possibility to the Tiliaventum group of kite surfers and windsurfers to enjoy the icy gusts.

In this occasion, aboard the R-30 Càpita there was the possibility to improve techniques of steering, adjustments, other maneuvers and much more with Omar Ciutto at the helm, who approached the sailing only recently, becoming, nonetheless, an assiduous and promising navigator and competitive sailor.

The 2021 Sea4All project includes also the participation at regattas not necessarily Paralympic, such as the famous next edition of Barcolana, with inclusive crew on board on Càpita for which the training schedule is already in place. The local Sport Club Tiliaventum is defining the finishing details for the 2021 initiatives that will include different kind of activities - always for all - such as sailing, kitesurf, sup, wakeboard, excursions by motorboats in the lagoon and in the rivers, tours along the coastal cycling paths, meetings, training and awareness-raising activities.

The previous year Sea4All project was supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Friuli Venezia Giulia Turismo, CIP Fvg, Lignano Sabbiadoro Municipality, the indispensable support of ZampaFoundation and Fondazione Cattolica Assicurazioni, besides having the prestigious Partner Marina Punta Faro Resort, Triride, Guidosimplex, Giotto Earth Listener, TecnolamBelluno, Keepsmart, Intras Lignano, Banca di Udine, Centro Maico Sordità, Triring, Eurobox, ATIS and many others that make them available in every occasion, beside the fundamental contribution of the numerous volunteers and ship owners that only in 2020 made possible the realization of 292 inclusive half days of sailing spending 2500 hours of the proper time.

Heartfelt thanks to all, certain that these collaborations will be confirmed also for this 2021 and that it will be implemented to allow to all to experience the sea.

Fair winds to all.
