Princess Yachts America was thrilled to participate in this years' Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Despite challenging circumstances, the show went ahead with attendance figures for the first two days, typically the most productive at the boat show, up 12% on 2019 visitor figures. Princess Yachts showcased a five-yacht line up, including the Princess V78, Princess V65, Princess V60, Princess F50 and the revolutionary Princess R35.

"Despite a mountain of challenges, the outstanding team from Informa overcame countless obstacles to not only make the show happen, but happen safely," said James Nobel, Vice President & Marketing Director of Princess Yachts America. He added "There is no doubt that the 2020 edition of one of the world's largest boat show will be remembered, but we will choose to remember it for the outstanding example that was set for how to bring a much needed sense of normalcy to a very abnormal time in our history."

The show organiser, Informa, exceeded all expectations by creating a safe environment for exhibitors and visitors alike, with social distancing in place and robust safety protocols allowing Princess Yachts America to achieve great commercial success during the show, with 8 retail sales worth in excess of USD$35 million, ranging from the innovative F45 to the exciting S78 and highlighted by the sale of the first X95 bound for North America.

Antony Sheriff, Executive Chairman Princess Yachts commented, "the results are strikingly positive and we still have a large number of yacht sales under serious negotiation from this show; we are delighted by this achievement."

"It is immensely encouraging to see that there is still a huge appetite for boat sales in the current climate." added Kiran Haslam, Chief Marketing Officer Princess Yachts, "I am grateful to both the teams at Princess Yachts America and Informa for ensuring that the safety of everyone attending the show was the utmost priority. In a world currently gripped by a pandemic it is clear to see that yachts are very much felt as second homes to our clients, as a place to isolate and still be within a social bubble, affording many the chance to continue to explore and holiday in safety."

2020 also marks the 25th anniversary year of Princess Yachts America as the exclusive Princess distributor for the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean. This pioneering partnership continues to bring British elegance and craftsmanship together with American support and supervision, delivering the ultimate yacht experience for the growing family of Princess owners in these regions.
