The new Dufour 470 epitomizes the shape of things to come from Dufour Yachts. The 470 is a modernized, contemporary design, yet which maintains the iconic elegance, features, performance and DNA you expect to find with a Dufour.

The new look includes a reverse chamfer curve on the topsides below the sheer line, subtle changes to the window recesses, larger forward hull volumes and a smooth fore and aft chine. The clean and impressive lines create a striking profile and the wide hull shape is designed for performance and stability in a wide range of sailing conditions.

Like the Dufour 530, the 470 is offered in three versions.

The Easy version has a clean, simplified layout, intended for owners and charter users, with sheeting and control lines led to an aft winch, at the back of the coaming.

The Ocean model is aimed at owners wanting a more traditional layout, with the halyards and control lines led to the coach roof and the sheets led to the helm station.

The Performance version sports six winches, two each for main, genoa and pit, enabling constant sail trimming, and is aimed at thrill loving sailor and regatta racer.

Available with 3, 4 or 5 cabin layout options, with up to four heads and a front or side galley, the layout choices can accommodate larger or reduced crew numbers, sailing styles and comfort options.

Typical of all Dufour's, extensive natural light floods the space below decks, especially in the generously sized aft cabins. Plus there is creative use of ambient lighting in the living areas. With plenty of storage in the cabins and saloon, there's an integrated bench sofa for relaxing, as well as a separate table and seating area.

Above decks, step aboard the electronically operated, large aft bathing platform, and there's three wide steps up to the large cockpit area. The Dufour exterior galley, with barbeque and sink, sits between the twin helm stations, and a generous cockpit table seats up to eight guests.

Ample deck storage is available via cockpit lockers, additional forward and aft stowage. There's plenty of seating and the option for adding a large sunbed on the aft deck.

Each helm station has a dedicated location for a complete range of navigation instruments, great all-round visibility and the engine throttle mounted a waist height for easy control when manoeuvring.
