After 14 days at sea, Chao Lay, the last World ARC yacht expected in Salvador, has arrived during the morning of 13 February at Terminal Nautico.

Yesterday the participants gathered on the terrace for a cocktail party and prize-giving hosted by terminal Nautico; everybody enjoyed the local food "Acaraje" served by a Bahiana wearing traditional dress from Salvador and some typical caipirinhas.

Finally to complete the programme, for the late arrivals has been organized for tomorrow morning an additional World ARC tour in the ancient city of Pelourinho, to the Church of Sao Francisco and the famous Basilica of Bonfim and then a visit to a viewpoint looking out over the bay from Forte Monte Serrat.

Tomorrow evening the participants will gather together at a sundowner in the terminal Nautico, to welcome the last arrivals before the start of the cruising period.

Most participants are remaining in Salvador to enjoy the dancing, singing and atmosphere of the most popular carnival in Brazil; others will explore the bay of Salvador or sail up north towards Recife before the rendez-vous on 2 March in Cabedelo for the last leg of World ARC 2019-20 to Granada.
