J/112E debuts in Vancouver

Every now and then, we receive enthusiastic and passionate letters from J/Owners all over the world. One noteworthy letter is from Adam Korbine in the Pacific Northwest region in Vancouver, British Columbia - a new J/112E owner.

There is a very active fleet of offshore racers between the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and the Royal Victoria Yacht Club. Perhaps their most famous and challenging race is the Swiftsure Offshore Race, which takes place around the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Here is Adam's note to us:

"Jeff, we met at BOOT Dusseldorf Boat Show in February of 2023. I had just bought our J/112E in Brittany, France. We now have our program dialed in and I'll be sending in race results soon. In the meantime, here is a nice shot of opening day with our crew on the rail!

I love this boat, it's the right size. We're the slowest-rated boat in our ORC division and we're winning races! More news soon!" Best, Adam
