Onda 341P: Armed against the elements

Onda Tenders brings a new standard of robust seakeeping to the leisure marine market with its specially adapted patrol boat, the 341P.

In today's leisure marine market, discerning buyers consider reliability and safety as two of the top criteria when purchasing a new boat. With friends, family or clients spending time on board, a boat must be able to stand up to all manner of sea conditions while keeping its precious cargo safe and dry. And so, keeping this in mind, Onda Tenders decided to take its highly successful 10.32m patrol boat Magna - which has been adopted for military operations across the globe since the 1990s - and give it a new "leisure identity" as the 341P.

A new look, the same capabilities

With the help of the expert Scandinavian design duo at Mannerfelt Team, Ted and Ocke Mannerfelt, the RIB provides the same exceptional seakeeping as the Magna but with improved aesthetics and top-quality materials to elevate comfort levels, making it perfect as a robust superyacht tender or standalone leisure boat.

"As the 341P was originally a patrol boat, we asked Mannerfelt Team to be mindful of this and to give it a 'rugged' feel that is distinct from Onda's other models. Although the boat is very comfortable, with premium materials and details throughout, it still has a cool, military identity at its core. A great example is the striking aluminium seat frames, in contrast to the fiberglass ones on our 331GT model," comments George Riginos, Onda Tenders CEO.

The newly reconfigured deck from Mannerfelt Team has a modular design with various layout choices, making the 341P a practical multi-use boat. Clients can opt for a hardtop or open scheme, with a number of sun pad and sofa arrangements. There is a shower on the aft deck for rinsing off after water sports, supplied by a 100-liter freshwater tank. The 341P is available in a range of colors and metallic finishes, including a black hull, tubes and deck hardware for a strikingly masculine look. There is a choice of teak decking with three caulking options, or synthetic Sea-Dek in four colors.

Safe in Onda's hands

THE 341P is defined by its reliability, performance and dynamic shape. With over two decades standing up to the rigors of the world's most demanding seagoing professionals - including the Hellenic Coast Guard - the 341P is reassuringly robust and primed for the most adverse weather conditions. This is thanks to its extremely deep-V hull with a single ventilated step, a 61-degree bow deadrise and superior engineering from Onda's in-house team.

Twin 350hp outboard engines propel the RIB at speeds of up to 50 knots in very rough conditions, and even faster in calmer waters. And with a draft of just 0.56m, the 341P allows its passengers to explore even the shallowest of waters.

A steadfast pedigree

Quality is assured on the 341P, as all Onda's tenders benefit from composite construction that is overseen by a team with over 30 years' experience in lamination and boat building. Only the best composite materials are sourced exclusively from the EU and USA, and every boat built at the company's facility adheres to a controlled and standardized production process. As such, the 341P comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

"Our clients have been impressed by the 341P's capabilities in rough waters, especially those who are using their boats in the notoriously choppy seas that we experience during the summers in Greece. In the two short years since we introduced the 341P to the leisure market with this all-new design, we have already sold 10 boats. We are expecting big things for this understated gem of a RIB," added Riginos.
