Fusion®, a worldwide leader in marine audio entertainment, announced today the release of the new FM Series flush mount marine speakers and subwoofers, engineered to deliver high-quality acoustics and bass in a sleek form factor to meet the latest boat design trends.

Designed with a minimalistic, clean look, the FM Series' low-profile, near-flat installation allows for a visually appealing finish never before seen on a marine speaker or subwoofer. Combining optimized speaker drivers inherited from the XS Series speakers with aluminum dome tweeters to produce high-quality audio at all volume levels, the FM Series is engineered with performance in mind, even at high volume levels. The new speakers also feature a completely new mounting system for non-intrusive, easy installation. Whether installed professionally or as a DYI project, installers simply place the unit in the cutout, tighten the screws and the speaker legs will tighten against the panel, keeping it in place without creating any screw holes.

The FM Series is designed to comply with ISO12216 Annex D1.1 for Areas II, III & IV - an industry first for marine speaker and subwoofer products and a revolutionary milestone for Fusion. ISO12216 is a standard set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to recognize the achievement for strength and watertightness - which is critical in the case of flooding that could lead to a rupture in the vessel's structure affecting stability and buoyancy.

Built for versatility and ease of integration, another unique feature of the FM Series is the ability to create a 2.1 audio zone. Simplifying installation and reducing system costs boaters can simply connect a pair of FM Series speakers and an FM Series subwoofer directly to a 2 Ohm stereo stable Fusion Multi-Zone stereo with built-in DSP, configure the DSP and enjoy high quality bass without the need for an external amplifier.

"We are excited to announce the FM Series speakers and subwoofers," said Peter Edwards, managing director, Fusion Entertainment. "Modern vessel design is moving towards more and more sleek and subtle design elements. Our new flush mount speakers and subwoofers fit that aesthetic, without sacrificing sound quality. Additionally, with the new ISO12216 certification, boat owners can be confident that Fusion speakers are a safe addition to their vessel, for the ultimate peace of mind."

The FM Series are designed to be mounted with a flange no thicker than one-eighth of an inch. Available in either round or square models and white and black color options, they come in two sizes, 7.7-inch 200W and 6.5-inch 120W to meet different customers' needs. Matching 10-inch 400W FM Series subwoofers are also available to add another dimension to the onboard audio entertainment experience.

Fusion, the leader in marine entertainment, is dedicated to offering innovative solutions that enhance personal leisure time on the water. Fusion, owned by Garmin, builds products that exceed regulatory standards using the latest technologies at Garmin's international ISO accredited manufacturing facility.
