New Suzuki DF300B to make UK debut at the Southampton International Boat Show

by Suzuki Marine 12 Sep 2019 01:44 PDT 13-22 September 2019

Suzuki is excited to be launching its new DF300B outboard to the UK market at the Southampton International Boat Show.

The DF300B is the latest outboard model to join Suzuki's existing 'GEKI' series of dual-propeller outboards.

The new DF300B has a maximum output of 300 hp and features many of Suzuki's world-renowned advanced technologies, which include:

  • Suzuki's unique Dual Prop System, which efficiently converts engine output into forward thrust by combining two contra-rotating propellers.
  • 2-Stage Gear Reduction, in which the gear ratio is first reduced in between the crankshaft and the driveshaft (1st stage reduction), and then reduced again within the gear case (2nd stage reduction), to deliver powerful propulsion by rotating large diameter propellers that have high thrust efficiency.
  • Compact, 4,390 cm3 four-stroke V6 engine that boasts maximum output of 300PS with regular petrol.
The DF300B is a large capacity outboard motor which was developed to meet the needs of customers who wish to have the same advanced technologies as Suzuki's flagship DF350A outboard installed on a 300-horsepower class unit.

The main benefit of combining the highly-efficient contra-rotating propellers and a compact 2-Stage Gear Reduction, is that it is able to deliver high propulsion power, meaning the DF300B can be rigged onto heavier boats. With the use of regular (91 RON) petrol as its fuel, it can be offered for business and leisure use.

For more information about the new DF300B Suzuki would be pleased to welcome you to a new model briefing at 12.45pm on Friday 13 September on stand E056.

Suzuki will be showcasing its range of ultimate four stroke outboards on stand E056 in Mayflower Park, with many of them also available to test in their natural environment - on the water, powering the following leading boat brands:

  • BRIG
  • Coulam Boats
  • Excel Boats
  • Hypro Marine / Monza
  • Island RIBS
  • Kingfisher Powercats
  • Ocqueteau
  • Raider

  • Ultimate Boat Company

A selection of Suzuki's Authorised Dealers and partner Boat Builders will also be exhibiting on land at the show with several leading Suzuki-powered packages, illustrating the breadth of the range and variety of applications available, including RIBs, sports boats, tenders, fishing boats, and commercial craft.

Everything you need

Suzuki also has a range of quality parts and accessories, such as the news Suzuki Multi-function Display screens (SMD), ergonomically designed controls, unique one box maintenance kits, cowling splash covers and a new range of 'Watergrip' propellers.

It is not just physical products that Suzuki is renowned for either. There is the new Suzuki Diagnostic System Mobile (SDS Mobile) App, which lets you send your Suzuki Authorised Dealer instantly and easily all the technical information they need to service and maintain your outboard.

See you there...

Suzuki is pleased to invite all customers onto the stand (E056) to enjoy free refreshments, discuss requirements with Suzuki representatives and register their details for the latest news and updates.

Mark Beeley, National Sales Manager for Suzuki GB's Marine Division, said, "We are gearing up for another great Southampton Boat Show and we are proud to be supporting our network of partner Dealers and Boat Builders who are launching and displaying a wide range of market-leading Suzuki-powered packages. As ever, we are focused on giving customers the ultimate experience on the water and to this end we're excited to be coming to the show with our strongest line-up of products ever, including our brand-new DF300B."
