Day 2 of the Allen, North Sails and Selden Enterprise Nationals championship produced a building breeze as the competitors headed out for the race area anticipating an exciting day.

Race 3 of the championship was delayed for over 3 hours due to shifting winds. The early starters of Paul Hobson and Craig Wheatly charged the beat to lead round the first mark closely followed by Dave Jackman and Martin Honnor. Following a close battle through the race between the leading players, by the close Hobson maintained his position and reenergised his championship. Jeremy Stephens now on home waters charged through the fleet to claim second with the Jackmans third and Martin Honnor fourth.

Race 4 started with a right hand biased course. Although the pathfinders Nigel and Andy Bird headed towards the right-hand side of the course, the early leaders round the first mark came from the middle of the start line. Steve Blackburn and Phil Bevan were 1 and 2 round the first mark closely followed by the Birds and Phil Ford / Jane Humpage. Unfortunately for Phil and Jane, a humping Dave Jackman decide to mount his boat sideways, pushing both boats down the fleet.

With an oscillating breeze, the contenders picking the shifts rather than hitting the right-hand corner made major gains through the race. Paul Hobson enjoying the conditions, steadily picked off the fleet to take a second win with Martin Honnor in close attendance taking second, Tim Sadler in third with Matt and Ivan Jaycock fourth.

Overnight it's all to play for with Hobson leading on 5 points with Sadler and Jackman close behind.
