The fourth freestyle fixture of the season, the GKA Freestyle World Cup Fuerteventura, fires up on Friday and will run from the 19-24th July.

It'll take place at the legendary Sotavento, in the south of the island, a notoriously windy location that has played host to countless kiting and windsurfing World Tour stops over the years.

After two events with challenging conditions, Brazilian phenoms Carlos Mario and Mikaili Sol are the top ranked riders, although their leads are anything but secure with a host of talented chargers in hot pursuit.

Besides the freestyle action, there's also a Big Air Invitational coming up at the event which will see strapless freestyle riders and freestyle kiteboarders competing together in mixed teams to see who can stick the most outrageous big air tricks. It's the first time something like this has happened in competition, so it should be something special!

Freestyle rankings so far on the GKA Kite World Tour 2019

Light winds in Tarifa meant it wasn't possible to reach the podiums in the men's or women's divisions, so here's how the rankings stand as we prepare to launch into the GKA Fuerte.
