19th annual Summer Sailstice celebration: One week to go

The 19th annual Summer Sailstice celebration will be held on the weekend of June 22/23, 2019.

Each year events are registered with Summer Sailstice and held in various locations across the USA and around the World: Tahiti-Moorea Sailing RDV is hosting its annual three-day celebration welcoming sailors and celebrating their successful ocean crossing; Holopuni Canoes will celebrate A Holopuni Summer Sailstice Day by all being out on the water, in their home area; Men's Shed Vernon, BC, Canada has partnered with Vernon YC to take members for an introduction to sailing. More international group events are being added daily, along with individual events some of which are located in Spain, Italy, Canada, and Solomon Islands.

Hundreds of USA events are planned across the country. West Coast events include Sailing, Inc., AK's flotilla and overnight/raft up; Half Moon Bay Yacht Club, CA's Open House; Call of the Sea, CA is offering free sails aboard Schooner Seaward; Tallship B.A.P. Union will be conducting ship tours in LA; Women's Sailing Association - OC is inviting members to celebrate with the Summer Sailstice Day Sail.

East Coast events include the Rhode Island Catalina Owners Rendezvous; Gulf Stream Sailing Club, FL is hosting an Aquatic Tug-of-war; SailGP has signed up its third event of its inaugural season - New York SailGP; Keyport YC is inviting the public to it's annual Summer Sailstice Open House. Jeanneau sailboats on both coasts will rendezvous in Newport, RI and Cuttyhunk, MA, and Anacortes, WA.

  • How: Register at summersailstice.com add your sailing plans and invite others to join your event. All registered participants are automatically entered into the draw for prizes.

Summer Sailstice actively supports ocean conservation. Summer Sailstice participants are encouraged to pledge support for our environmental partner Sailors for the Sea.
