Honda Marine go back to back with a race to spare in JJ Giltinan 2019

The New Zealanders on Honda Marine, David McDiarmid, Matt Stevens and Brad Collins were formally announced as back to back JJ Giltinan trophy winners in the 18ft Skiff after winning the championship with a day to spare.

Their successful defence was capped off with a win in the final race to finish on 13 points ahead of second placed Winning Group on 26 points.

Interestingly all but one of the nine races in the series were won by New Zealanders, with Honda taking five, ASCC two, C-Tech one and the lone Aussie win went to overall third placed Smeg.
