Dock like a Pro with Lewmar’s new retractable thruster

by Kiwi Yachting Consultants 28 Nov 2018 16:51 PST 28 November 2018

After hours of rigorous testing Lewmar has launched a range of retractable thrusters that will have you docking like a pro at the touch of a button.

Lewmar’s new RT retractable thrusters have been extensively tested resulting in smooth, efficient and easy operation. The unique ‘low pivot’ mechanism minimises internal space requirements yet permits maximum tunnel immersion.

The revolutionary design incorporates the proven TT propeller achieving perfectly even thrust in both directions for maximum control and manoeuvrability.

Your boat builder will also love the new Lewmar RT. Its universal flange mounting can be adjusted to any given hull shape and fitted in with a fastening from the top. It also features a corrosion resistant hinge mechanism, meaning zero maintenance.

An ergonomic new control pad gives tactile feedback, for better user experience and a multi-function LED indicator displays deployment, thruster operation and any electrical diagnostics. Furthermore, the RT will auto-retract after 5 minutes in case you forget!

The new Lewmar Retractable Thrusters are suitable for boats from 28ft to 65ft and are available now from dealers throughout New Zealand or to trade via Kiwi Yachting.
