With a little over two months to go until the 34th edition of the Pineapple Cup, we're excited to announce that the entry list has reached 18 and we wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving to all those that observe it!
We're also delighted to welcome several notable international teams to this year's race as we continue to grow towards one of the biggest fleets in over a decade!
Plus...
- The Montego Bay Yacht Club is busy finalizing the social calendar with events planned alongside iconic venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe.
- The Organizing Authority is engaged in conversations with logistics companies to provide teams competing with options to ship crew clothing/gear directly to the Montego Bay Yacht Club. It is our goal to provide more information on this as soon as possible.
Welcome Lady Mariposa and Sin Duda!
Lady Mariposa Racing is an amateur sailing team, formed from eight different nationalities that come together with one passion: to sail as fast as possible. Over the years they've posted some fantastic results most recently winning the 2018 Cherbourg Race.
Sin Duda! is a Santa Cruz 52 based out of Dallas, Texas and comes to the Pineapple Cup for the first time. The boat is no stranger to offshore racing having competed in numerous regattas since 2010. The team most notably competed in the 2017 Transpac finishing fifth in Division 4.
With 18 teams already registered, the 2019 Pineapple Cup is on pace to be the biggest Montego Bay Race since 2003! Not registered yet? What are you waiting for!
