We are proud to announce that the new Belize 66 is now on the way to her World Premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida on October 31.
This new model builds on the heritage of a luxury motor yacht that celebrates the styles of a bygone era of yachting, of gleaming hand-crafted interiors and, most importantly, of individuality.
The Belize 66 Sedan to be displayed at Fort Lauderdale is a three-stateroom, three bathroom model that takes the concept of a semi-custom motor yacht to a new level.
Special features of this motor yacht include a full beam master stateroom and full beam master bathroom aft of the stateroom. She is a vessel that delivers a new sense of space, comfort and luxury and offers the highest level of customisation and bespoke elements.
The teak-laid swim platform is built in two section. Two thirds of the platform is fully submersible to assist in tender launch and retrieval while a smaller section remains fixed. The garage under the cockpit has space for a 3.6-metre Palm Beach tender.
The range of options available in the Belize 66 begins with the overall layout. Clients may select a single-level lifestyle Sedan or a Daybridge with classic bimini top or hardtop. The hardtop includes a retractable awning sunroof.
Accommodation options include three or four cabins with a large space between the midship master stateroom and the engine room that can be optioned for a wide range of purposes. While the World Premiere model utilises the space for a full beam bathroom, it can be customised in many ways including crew quarters and a utility room.
Among the many other options are the layout of the cockpit, including location of the large barbecue unit and the layout of the interior, from a single seat helm on the starboard side most likely to be favoured by owners opting for the Daybridge design to a more expansive centreline helm. This option also offers a companion seat on the starboard side and a viewing lounge or second companion seat to port.
The technologies employed include CZone digital switching and the latest Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit navigation system that displays all operator information in one place via a single interface, the multi-function touch-screen display. A joystick for slow-speed manoeuvring is built into the helm chair armrest. Two additional joysticks are in the cockpit, one on either side.
Comprehensive sea trials revealed that the very latest Volvo Penta Inboard Propulsions System, the D13 1350 helped her achieve an average top speed of more than 33 knots.
Riviera Motor Yacht Specialist and Belize project manager Doug Nelson said the team was delighted with the Belize 66 trials.
"The Belize 66 is a very special yacht and our team is just so proud of her performance, finish and complete design," said Mr Nelson. "The latest technologies employed in her build have resulted in a new motor yacht that is really going to make a statement at Fort Lauderdale later this month.
"She is an extraordinary motor yacht, combining classic styling with the very latest on-water comforts for discerning owners.
"We are delighted that the motor yachting enthusiasts of the world will have an opportunity now to inspect this magnificent new motor yacht at Fort Lauderdale."
Sea trials completed, she was carefully lifted onto a massive low-loader vehicle for a short road journey to the docks where she was gently lifted onto a ship for the voyage to Florida and her much anticipated World Premiere.
The Belize team will meet the new 66 on her arrival this week and complete final detailing to prepare her as part of Riviera's nine-model red-carpet showcase at the Fort Lauderdale show that also includes the Americas Premieres of the Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht, the Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht and the Riviera 395 SUV.
Riviera CEO Wes Moxey said the new Belize was the result of more than two years of meticulous design and development.
"She is a supreme example of the Riviera design and engineering team's dedication to quality and our constant refinement," he said.
