Sam Laidlaw's Aguila has scored six straight bullets in the Quarter Ton Class at Lendy Cowes Week, to make the Isle of Wight team the hot favourite for the class win at the famous regatta. Aguila means eagle in Spanish, and so far the rest of the Quarter Ton Class have been prey.

Aguila's bowman is Dan Ghol, who has raced much larger and hi-tech yachts. including Sorcha in the 52 Super Series and Sojana at Superyacht Regattas.

"We have a great team that has been together for a long time. Team work is so important, we have to work together, especially in a Quarter Tonner balancing the boat in manoeuvres is critical. So far we have not had any major problems but it is very easy to spin out when the wind picks up. There is a very good level in our class, and although we have a good lead, we know will need to keep up our performance if we are going to have a successful week."

Dan Gohl chose a Fever-Tree Madagascan Cola and Westerhall's Rum, a unique blend of kola nut, fresh citrus and spice with fine rum from Grenada.
