Among the selection of sailing yachts being displayed at the Sydney International Boat Show (2nd to 6th August), Yachtspot will be displaying two models from J/Boats 'Elegance' series. The 'Elegance' series boasts refined accommodation for family cruising, quality engineered equipment and inclusions, in a high-performance hull.

The new J/112E is a 36ft cruiser/racer - recent accolades include winning the 2018 European IRC Championships, Grand Prix du Crouesty in France, 151mile race in Italy, Best Performance Boat over 30ft and Boat of the Year - Best Crossover Boat, to name a few.

It is definitely worth stepping on board this yacht at the show, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how J/Boats have incorporated the high level of interior comfort within the high-performance hull.

The qualities of the J/112E at sea are second to none. Her V-shaped bow provides increased directional stability, enhancing her ability to slip through the waves. The forward freeboard and the gunwale help to limit the spray across the deck. The lead keel provides high stability and efficiency.

Her long waterline, associated with a low centre of gravity, give the yacht a gentler, more seaworthy motion, akin to that of a 40-footer. The positioning of the deck hardware on the J/112E has been carefully studied and selected to make manoeuvring as easy as possible. The size and positioning of the winches make every manoeuvre safe and the quality of the deck hardware enables effortless sail trimming. J/112E can easily be cruised two-handed.

The J/112E is constructed using infusion technology, providing an unrivalled standard of excellence.

Solely a J/Boat can offer the serenity of the most solid and rigid construction on the market, whilst retaining its unrivalled lightweight design, which establishes its reputation as a high-performance yacht.

The J/97Ee 32ft cruiser/racer will also be on display. J/97E is an easily manageable family yacht. Featuring 1.80m of headroom, the yacht's interior has a layout conducive to comfortable family sailing: it integrates a large saloon with two bench seats, a fully equipped galley, a chart table and 6 berths, of which there are 2 doubles including a large aft cabin for the owner. With her moderate midship section and freeboard, the J/97E is unquestionably the most accomplished cruising yacht of her category. To appeal to all tastes, the cockpit has been designed to be fitted with either a tiller or the option of a steering wheel. With her high-quality construction and equipment, the J/97E offers you a level of sailing comfort that rivals the larger cruisers, without the associated effort.

The J/Boats stable of yachts are renowned for their sailing prowess, their longevity and how enjoyable they are to sail.

The J/Boats story started 40 years ago with the inimitable J/24. The story of a family and a team of enthusiasts, whose aim has always been to design the best yacht of its category. Recognised for being leaders in high-performance yachts, designed for cruising, day sailing, offshore racing, one-design racing, using quality construction methods and equipment.
