5o5 Open European Championship at L'Estartit, Spain - Preview

With just over a month to go to the 5o5 Open European Championship, there are over 50 boats entered including boats from Australia, Canada, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland and the USA. The class has announced P&B Musto racing as a major sponsor of the event.

The Club Nautic Estartit is looking forward to hosting the competitors, family and friends to enjoy the modern ample facilities on offer. Registration is on Tuesday 21st October with practice sessions that afternoon. Racing will be Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25t October with light food, refreshments and daily prize giving each afternoon after racing. On the final day, a gala dinner is being organised for the final Presentation ceremony. Places are limited so please register asap..

Tickets for the Gala dinner are 40 Euros per person. Reservations are needed so please book early to assist with planning. Register here.

A number of boats will be arriving early for some practice and to soak up the lovely Spanish Costa Brava. There is ample parking for trailers cars and vans in the club grounds with easily accessible facilities adjacent to the launching area within the marina. Across the road from the Marina there are many restaurants and bars.

If you are planning to stay in a camper van please let us know as places may be limited.

505 Euro Cup 4 and Swedish Nationals
Carl-Fredrik Fock & Johan Barne take the win at Råå The Swedish Nationals were this year also the final leg of the 505 Euro Cup series.
