Competitors in this year's Three Peaks Yacht Race, the multi-sport adventure challenge of offshore sailing, running and cycling, are all benefiting by wearing the OLAS Tags from Exposure Lights as part of a newly announced sponsorship agreement with the event.

The lightweight OLAS wrist Tags connect with the OLAS APP on a mobile device, creating a virtual tether with the boat at all times. Should a crew member get separated from the boat the APP sounds an immediate piercing alarm. The screens then clearly direct the crew back to where the incident first occurred, saving valuable seconds and providing clear instructions in an emergency situation as well as aiding the chances of a rapid self-rescue.

A true challenge of endeavour and personal stamina the Three Peaks Yacht Race appeals to competitors across all sporting backgrounds, mixing experienced sailors with non-sailing athletes. During this intense challenge, the teams will sail 390 miles from Barmouth to Fort William along the hazardous West Coast of Wales, England and Scotland through a complete range of changeable weather and sea conditions. Safety on board is paramount as the sailing teams carry their runners to scale the heights of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. Running from the coast, they will cover 72 miles and up 14,000 feet, plus 26 miles of cycling steep slopes in the Lake District.

Tom Harrop, Brand Manager at Exposure Lights comments, "The prestigious Three Peaks Yacht Race is the ultimate personal challenge and the spirit of adventure event and a great fit with our brand ethos. The teams are hard at it 24/7 sailing, running, cycling and even rowing day and night. It's tough and relentless. Every second counts, and things can go wrong under pressure even for experienced sailors. So using our rugged head-torches, sailing lights and wearable safety products means the competitors can stay focused and keep safe on board."
