Australia's leading commercial marine capabilities showcased at Asia Pacific Maritime 2018

by Lisa Keleher 20 Mar 2018 01:34 PDT 14-16 March 2018

Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) kicked off on the 14th of March with the opening ceremony, followed by three successful days for top Australian commercial marine brands and the launch of the Australian Commercial Marine Group's (ACMG) first commercial marine and defence maritime directory.

Australian contingents left a valuable impression at APM 2018, held 14-16 March in Singapore. Promoting their high quality and innovative products and services to global buyers, Australian commercial marine companies garnered serious interest from day one at the Australian Pavilion.

Exhibitors at the Australian Pavilion were AirBerth Marketing, Aus Ships Group, Austral Propellers, Australasian Institute of Marine Surveryors, Harwood Marine, HyDrive Engineering, Poly Flex Group, Pyrotek, Ronstan International and Spear Green Design.

ACMG's first publication of the Australian commercial marine and defence directory was officially launched by Trade Commissioner Austrade Singapore, Taliessin Reaburn. The publication highlights not only the capabilities Australian commercial and defence companies possess, but the innovation and expertise the ever-growing Australian commercial marine and defence sector holds.

"The publication of the ACMG directory is a great addition to Australia's commercial marine sector. It gives Singaporean and global buyers a fantastic introduction to Australian capability and expertise," Taliessin Reaburn commented.

The Australian Pavilion at APM gave Australian commercial players the opportunity to showcase their premium products and services to key international stakeholders, and continue to represent the Australian commercial marine sector as a major player on the international stage.

Mr Doug Jarvis, AIMEX CEO welcomed attendants by saying "This year AIMEX celebrates 20 years. That is 20 years of promoting Australia's extensive capability, 20 years of promoting Australia's exceptional quality and 20 years of promoting Australia's uncompromising elements of safety in design. To survive in today's world – industry must transcend traditional boundaries and continually explore distant horizons. Showcasing Australia's wide ranging ability in foreign markets is the core purpose of AIMEX, and it's at shows like APM that we are able to do this."
