The largest showcase yet of Australian innovation and ingenuity will be on display at Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) 2018 with companies returning once again to promote their superior skills, expertise and the quality that makes the Australian commercial marine sector world renown.

Well known for representing the most high quality and innovative products and services, APM (14th – 16th March) will, once again, see Australian businesses impress the commercial industry. The Australian contingent present at this year's show will be exhibiting at the Australian Pavilion, located in Hall B.

Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG) has for the first time published an Australian commercial marine & defence maritime magazine, profiling the breadth of activity in the Australian commercial sector and its significant investment. The ACMG magazine will be launched at APM Australian Pavilion by Taliessin Reaburn, Trade Commissioner Austrade Singapore, and feature up-to-date information about facilities, as well as product and service providers ready to engage with interested parties.

"The publication of the ACMG magazine is great addition to Australia's commercial marine sector. It gives Singaporean and global buyers a fantastic introduction to Australian capability and expertise," Taliessin Reaburn said.

As an island nation, Australia has developed a reputation for taking an innovative approach to tackling the unique challenges presented by our diverse ocean borders. The Australian Pavilion will provide a platform for companies to promote their world class products and services that truly portray the Australian commercial marine industry as a key player in the global arena.

"With the growing demand in the commercial marine and defence maritime sectors, it is crucial to ensure a strong united presence at APM. ACMG will bring plenty of business opportunities for those who want to access marine sector leaders to discuss the key sectoral issues across the themes of manufacturing, exporting and light commercial marine. The anticipated visitor numbers to our pavilion are expected to be high and will directly help to bolster Australia's commercial marine industry sector, which is already experiencing record growth" stated AIMEX CEO, Doug Jarvis.

The Australian contingent present at this year's show will include:

  • AirBerth Marketing
  • Aus Ships Group
  • Austral Propellers
  • Australasian Institute of Marine Surveyors
  • Harwood Marine
  • HyDrive Engineering
  • Poly Flex Group
  • Pyrotek
  • Ronstan International
  • Spear Green Design
Mr Doug Jarvis, AIMEX CEO concluded: "There is currently considerable interest in Australia with so many Australian businesses being in the limelight with their award winning products and services and with the significant investment in commercial and defence spending, the global marine industry is eager to understand the Australian commercial marine market, its capability and to hear more about the latest innovations".

Operating under the umbrella of the Australian International Marine Exporters Group (AIMEX), ACMG is dedicated to supporting its members through the promotion of Australia's commercial marine operations, shipbuilding and ship repair capabilities including infrastructure, services and manufacturers of associated marine equipment, to ensure consistent growth and development of all facets of the industry.
